Happy New Year!

It’s hard to believe that it’s already 2010.  Another year has passed and it’s time to look forward to the future and all that it has to offer.

We had an amazingly successful year and are so honored and humbled by the work we do at The Parker Reese Foundation.  2010 will allow us to make new goals but always with the same mission: to help families diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

In May we hosted “Sponsor a Night”, our first t-shirt fundraiser and raised over $6,000!   All the money goes toward providing a free home to families receiving treatment in North Carolina.  Parker’s House has now seen 11 families since its conception in May 2008.  Keeping these doors open is an important mission of ours and something that keeps us motivated day to day.

We held our 2nd Annual “Round for Hope” golf tournament in San Antonio, Texas in October.  This tournament was not only successful it helped to spread awareness of CDH to hundreds who like many of us had never heard of it before.  A huge thanks to the ladies in Texas who helped make this event a success!

The Parker Reese Foundation also formed a fundamental partnership with Duke University Medical Center.  We have played an important role in many changes that DUMC has made regarding their care and support for CDH families.  Parker’s House has been listed on their website as their housing of choice for families diagnosed with CDH.  What a huge honor it is to work side by side with some of the greatest doctors and one of the paramount hospitals in the nation.

In 2010 we will introduce our newsletter, our Hope is the Movement campaign and many more fun and exciting fundraisers.  The Parker Reese Foundation is committed to spreading awareness everyday and to helping CDH families in need by offering support and hope.

We could not have accomplished all that we did without the constant support of each of you.  Thank you for supporting our mission and for believing in the work we do.

From all of us at The Parker Reese Foundation we wish you a prosperous New Year!
